My prayers go out to the family at this difficult time. Our loving God has promised to do away with sickness, suffering, and death here on the earth in the near future. (Psalms 37:9-11; Isaiah 33:24; John 5:28, 29; Acts 24:15; Revelation 21:3-5) God understands what you are feeling and promises to be “close to the brokenhearted” and “saves those crushed in spirit”. (Psalms 34:18) Please know that your family will be in my prayers!

Max, You left us far too soon. You were such a light–funny, kind, thoughtful, and smart. I was always so happy to see you in my classes (three of them!), and I so appreciated your writing and your insightful contributions to discussion. Your easy manner and kindness put us all at ease. My deep condolences to your family and friends.

Dear Joyce and family, may others find support and love like Max did from you, the people who loved him, and the Cancer Wellness Center young adult group of which Max was a part. Max’s 22 years were not enough in this life, but we hope the light of Max lives on through the ways he has impacted many the many lives around him. Thank you for the opportunity to donate in Max’s name. Sincerely, Mary Offerman and Kelly Schaefer

Dear Family,
I am 25 years old and met Max at the young adult group. of all the “rare” cancers, we were the only two with testicular! Max’s attitude in the midst of uncertainty was contagious. We clicked right away. He encouraged me a lot and spoke about his family often. I can identify with your grief, My Dad just passed away in October from Leukemia. The only peace I found was on my knees with the Lord. I pray and hope you find the same peace.
God Bless.

Max,
I don’t even have the words for this kind of loss. All I know is that the world won’t be the same without you. You were one of a kind and I consider myself very lucky to have known you and been able to grow through high school with you.

St. Thérèse of Lisieux, little flower of Jesus, intercede for Max Mallory. Grant grace to his soul. And pick a flower from your heavenly garden and send it on the way to Chuck, Joyce, and John-Mark.
